GEOSYN listserve and directory have been a free sponsor supported geosynthetics resource used by virtually everyone serving the geosynthetics and geotechnical industry since January 1995.
GEOSYN subscribers are involved in many areas of the geosynthetics industry including engineering, fabrication, installation and manufacturing with applications including geotextiles -- wovens and nonwovens, geomembranes, geogrid, geosynthetic clay liners and other synthetic materials for erosion control, landfill liners, subgrade stabilization, asphalt overlay, steep slope reinforcement, retaining walls, reinforced embankments, subsurface drainage, etc. Discussion includes new product announcements, application notes, case histories, answers to frequently asked questions, testing, ASTM Standards (including D35), new business opportunities and industry issues as they occur. Advantages to subscribers includes gaining access to the latest supplier specifications, access to up-to-date technical data, installation specifications, lead generation, upcoming events, conducting market surveys and advertising. None of these benefits and advantages are provided at a cost to the subscriber.
Our objective in creating this listserve is to engage participants in discussing and describing what is happening today in this ever changing field. Participants have been invited to post notes, questions, comments, concerns, recommendations, ideas and information that will enable all of us to better address our own needs as well as to advance forward the geosynthetics industry. Subscribers include: geosynthetic and equipment suppliers, geosynthetic testing laboratories, consultants, universities, civil engineers, contractors, distributors, suppliers, installers, geotechnical engineers, publishers and members of Industrial Fabrics Association International among others.
As our industry has grown, more and more professionals have access to Internet and have participated in discussions on GEOSYN. As a matter of fact, our subscribers have been presented some very difficult questions during the past few years, and many excellent resolutions have been implemented in our industry as a result of subscriber's expertise and industry know-how. There are many technical associations serving our industry including IAGI, IFAI, NAGS, and ASTM, however GEOSYN is the only organization dedicated to networking. Our subscribers or members are experts in their chosen fields of specialty.
Our GEOSYN website includes many features:
- GEOSYN DIRECTORY -- A listing of GEOSYN members and their company affiliations. Although not all members have chosen to be listed in the Directory, all members are available to respond to "Ask the Experts" questions.
- ASTM Standards -- A listing and linking of Committee D35 Standards for the geosynthetics industry.
- ASK THE EXPERTS -- An easy way to post questions to the geosynthetics industry.
- Membership Services
On behalf of the members of GEOSYN, I hope you find our website and expert directory to be an invaluable resource.
