ASTM Committee D35 on Geosynthetics was formed in 1984 and is the core committee responsible for developing standards for the geosynthetics industry including test methods, specifications, guides, practices, terminology and the dissemination of knowledge relating to the geosynthetics industry. D35 includes applications such as roadway stabilization and repair, erosion control, and soil drainage and reinforcement, and hydraulic barriers composed primarily of man-made polymer sheets or spray applied systems. GEOSYN was formed at a D35 meeting in January 1995 as a forum for committee members to discuss standards and applications. For more information regarding ASTM and/or membership, follow the link to www.astm.org.

D35 has six basic technical application subcommittees. Each of the following subcommittees meet twice a year -- once in January and once in June. ASTM Committee D35 Meeting Schedule.
